Tuesday

This week it's back to school for us! We had a great week off. Bball, playdates, sleepover, park, crafts, playdough, pj days, wii playing. It is always good to get back into a routine though. Yesterday was our first day back and the kids did great. They worked so diligently. I am realizing just how much my attitude effects them and the whole atmosphere of the home!

Last Thursday night we had a huge windstorm, and Friday morning when I looked out our kitchen window, our trampoline was gone! It had blown over our f
ence into the neighbors yard and got wedged between a fence and garage. Thankfully the only damage it did was to our fence. It could have so easily broken a window or a car or who knows what else. The bad part though is that the frame of the trampoline got bent pretty bad. Poor kids, we had it up for barely a week! John is pretty sure he can fix it though. The crazy thing is that he got up in the middle of the night to check on it and it was fine. Anyway-I guess that's why they tell you to stake them down!

On another note, here's a healthy recipe that we all enjoy. (When I say all I usually don't mean our oldest son. His favorite food is pizza, spaghetti and cookie dough brownies;-)

Chicken Fajitas

3 chicken breast cut into strips
3 Peppers cut up (multi-c
olored sweet peppers)
1 Medium onion chopped
Salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder to taste
2 T Olive oil

Cook chicken in olive oil until done then add vegetables and seasonings. Cover and cook until veggies are tender. Stirring occasionally.

Serve with tortillas, sour cream, salsa, cheddar cheese.
Enjoy!

  1. Wow- I remember it being windy, but not strong enough to blow a trampoline away... hope it can be fixed! We will have to try that recipe sometime~ it sounds yummy!
